After an anguished 24 hours, a 32 year-old mother has been reunited with her child, who ran away from home. The mother, who had reported her child missing at the local police station, received immense praise from the police force for her tenacity and hard work in finding her child.
The child was reportedly playing outside the mother’s home in Charlotte, North Carolina, when it wandered away from the house. Despite the mother’s frantic search, she was unable to locate the child, and fearing the worst, she immediately notified the police.
As soon as the police received the report, they swung into action, launching a search of the neighborhood with the help of the community. “We knew how important it was to find the child as soon as possible,” said Detective John, one of the lead investigators on the case.
Despite the extensive search, the police were unable to locate the child until a full day had passed. “We were all worried and anxious,” said the child’s mother, who had been keeping a vigil at the police station all day. “I didn’t know what to do or where to look.”
